Caution. The design and installation of the repair is straight
forward, however, common misconceptions about construction procedures and design, can lead to the design and installation
of an unsafe connection.
Therefore,
in order to use our repair method, we require the Designer, Checker, and Reviewer of record be trained and
from the same design firm. Each person must be a professional engineer in the state where the repair is being performed.
After
training, individuals may perform design work using the method, however, each repair location must be registered with GussetFix
LLC to receive a license number. This registration allows GussetFix LLC to keep track of where the Patent Pending Method
is used, and to verify that the provisions for use are met.
Additionally, during installation,
a trained individual must be present. This individual can be one of the individuals trained from the firm of record,
or a construction inspector trained in the installation process. This person does not have to be a proffesional engineer.
